The Health Science Core students have been studying about the basic levels of human body organization this week. They designed posters while learning about various body regions, cavities, and directional terms.

Students in Culinary Arts II experimented with a variety of garnishing techniques in the annual Twinkie Challenge. Students were evaluated on their use of color, texture, composition, and height as they presented the classic Twinkie in an upgraded fashion.

Sports Medicine students learned about concussions or mild traumatic brain injuries this week in class. They each created a helmet out of sports medicine supplies to protect an egg (brain) from physical trauma. Each helmet was tested by being dropped from the 2nd floor.

Health Science II students completed their cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)certification training today. A special thank you to Mrs. Kim Thomas, RN for providing the BLS CPR certification to our students.
