The Sports Medicine students had a good time talking and learning about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking with Mr. Hubbard. Mr. Hubbard shared with students about many real-life situations in which he provided various medical care during emergency situations.

This week is "Advocates for Children Week." The Ackerman 20th Century Club is hosting a Teddy Bear Drive October 25th-29th. CCCTC is helping the Ackerman 20th Century Club by collecting new teddy bears this week for local foster children in Choctaw County.
SFC Robert Oswalt visited CCCTC classes and spoke to students about the opportunities available through the Mississippi Army National Guard.
The Animals I and II classes conducted a unit on Animal Nutrition, with an activity interpreting feed label and practiced interpreting the nutritional labels on cereal boxes. The students compared the nutrients needed for agricultural animals and those needed for people.
Sports Medicine students have been learning about the recognition and treatment of various soft tissue injuries, shock, and other emergent medical conditions. Students completed soft tissue injury management checkoffs this week.
