Culinary arts 2 students have been working with poultry this week. Each student fabricated their own chicken by cutting a whole bird into 8 pieces. They then prepared the various chicken pieces by roasting, baking, braising, and frying.

​Students in Culinary Arts II experimented with a variety of garnishing techniques in the annual Twinkie Challenge. Students were evaluated on their use of color, texture, composition, and height as they presented the classic Twinkie in an upgraded fashion.

Sports Medicine students learned about concussions or mild traumatic brain injuries this week in class. They each created a helmet out of sports medicine supplies to protect an egg (brain) from physical trauma. Each helmet was tested by being dropped from the 2nd floor.
