Sports Medicine students have been learning about patient safety during transfers and mobility within healthcare facilities.
Health Science students were learning the proper procedure for aseptic hand washing technique according to CDC guidelines. Glo-germ was applied to their hands to simulate pathogens.
Students living North of the Coal Mine that ride a school bus will have pick up and drop off times that will be different than normal. This will be for the next couple of days as Hwy. 9 will be closed and buses in that area will have to detour from their regular routes.
Mrs. Fondren's Culinary Arts I students are learning about safety in the workplace. The students pictured successfully completed the OSHA teen safety in the workplace certification.
Mrs. Hammons' Health Science Core students are learning how to communicate and work as a team to untie their human HOSA knot.

Congratulations to Weir Elementary 3rd grade on their results from the reading state test. There were 404 elementary schools reporting from around the state and WEIR Elementary 3rd graders scored in the top 10% of all schools in the entire state.
