Students in Culinary Arts enjoyed experimenting with different tastes this week. They made pizzas complete with ingredients with “umami”, a delicious, savory taste that can be found in tomatoes, cheese, and mushrooms.
Culinary Arts I students are learning all about tastes and flavors. They combined a variety of seasonings to create a unique compound butter they used from scratch buttermilk biscuits.
CCCTC students enjoyed having the U.S. Army medical simulation truck on campus. Students were able to see and hear about many medical career opportunities. The local Army recruiters were there to talk with students about opportunities in the Army. Thank you for all you do!
CCCTC students had the opportunity to visit Holmes Community College (Grenada Campus) recently. The students enjoyed the preview day and learning about the career and technical programs HCC offers.

Health Science I students are kicking off their unit on the Skeletal System by using teamwork to build and label a life size skeleton.

CCCTC SkillsUSA student organization had the honor of assisting the residents at Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, walk in the Pink Parade hosted by Gentiva Hospice. A special thank you to Mrs. Dena Kelly for allowing us to be a part of such a special day!

Sports Medicine students were performing Vital Sign check off skills on oral temperature, radial pulse, respirations, and manual BP with our industry partner Dena Kelly from Gentiva Hospice. A Big Thanks to Mrs. Kelly for working with our students!
Health Science students have been learning about medical sterilization along with infection control. The students learned how to properly donn and doff sterile surgical gloves in class.
