My name is Jaylin Shaw. I am a junior at Choctaw County High School, and I am enrolled in the Construction/Carpentry class at Choctaw County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC). My instructor is Mr. Robert Black. In Construction class, I have learned to use a variety of equipment both effectively and safely. I have also learned discipline and teamwork while working with others. Mr. Black has taught me how to better myself and to help others around me to better themselves.

In the two years that I have been a student in the Construction/Carpentry class, I have learned how to properly use a table saw, a band saw, and various hand tools. My future plans include attending Hinds Community College and enrolling in a career-technical program that will help me to prepare for my future in construction.
